Common questions
How do my phones find each other?
Sign in with the same email on each phone. Each phone you sign in on appears on the others as a tile — no pairing codes.
My other phone doesn't show up.
Install Flick on it and sign in with the same email. It shows up by itself. If it still doesn't, check that both phones are online and signed in to the same address (Settings › Account).
Is there a file size limit?
No. Photos and videos are sent at full quality, and files can be any size.
What do “Wi-Fi direct” and “Encrypted relay” mean?
On the same Wi-Fi, Flick sends straight from phone to phone. Anywhere else it goes through an encrypted relay. Either way it's end-to-end encrypted, and relay copies are deleted once delivered, or after 7 days.
Do I have to accept incoming files?
No. They're your own phones, so things arrive automatically. On iPhone you'll get a notification; on Android, Flick keeps a quiet connection open so it's ready to receive.
Where do received files go?
On iPhone, photos and videos are saved to Photos (you can turn this off in Settings) and everything is also kept in Files › On My iPhone › Flick. On Android they go to Pictures/Flick, Movies/Flick and Download/Flick.
Can I send to more than one phone?
Yes. Add phones in the TO row of the send sheet, or tap Send to all. It's one transfer, end-to-end encrypted for each phone.
What if I close the app mid-send?
Sends keep going when you leave, and transfers resume after the app is closed. You can stop a send any time from its transfer screen.
I didn't get my sign-in code.
Check spam, then tap Resend code after the countdown. Enter the code from the latest email.
How do I delete my account?
Settings › Account › Delete account. This removes your devices and anything still waiting in the cloud. Files already saved on your phones stay.
